I decided I could go for a drive if nothing else. It was good to get out of the house. It was really cold, but the sunshine was so nice! I drove over to Fair Haven Beach State Park -- my favorite place to go walking when it's nice out. I was not alone in my desire to get out! There were way more people out and about than I expected.
This is my favorite cabin in the park. It's the largest cabin they have. Greg and I have talked about renting it, but it's almost impossible to get a reservation. It's the first cabin that gets snatched up.
In winters past the road has always been blocked off, but this year they are plowing so you can drive through most of the park. I hate snow, but I love this picture. It really is pretty, isn't it?
Really??? That's a bummer. LOL!
This is the boat launch into Little Sodus Bay. Completely iced and snowed over. Those are snowmobile tracks on the left-hand side of the picture. When the bay is frozen over it's a popular place for snowmobiling and ice fishing.
Yeah, it's a bit cold right now. There's ice everywhere!!
This is the picnic/playground area of the state park. In the distance you can see Lake Ontario.
Another shot of Little Sodus Bay. No ice fishermen out today.
